Q1. how much money will they have accumulated 30 years from now?
Q2. if their goal is to retire with $800000 of savings, how much extra do they need to save every year?

i paid 19.33 per share i bought 3000 shares. at present time the stocks div is 7.20 and there P/E is 10.81. in oct of 2006 they will share profit again. in april i had same 3000shares for 19.33 i received check for 3000.00 so how is this and what is my fucture profit looking like?

I'm considering opening up a 529 college savings plan for my son. I've read about the benefits and the different state plans. What is hidden is what if my son decides NOT to go to college? What happens then?

Do I get to keep the money? Do I have to pay taxes and what kind of penalties are there when I take the money back for myself? On the several financial sites I've found, they just mention that there may be penalties involved.

the latest is it will run dry in 2022...and every time they make an estimate they knock a few more years off , but yet they are doing nothing to fix this ...why should my hard earned money go towards something i will never see? i am going to die at work because i can never afford to retire...I would like to personally thank all the polititians in the last 30 years that ran social security into the ground..
