Ask whoever bought the stock for you or told you about it.

But I'll play a little. If the Dividend is 7.20, then you will get .25% of that per share you own every quarter. The P/E is the price to earnings ratio and I don't see how it is relevant to your dividend since that seems to be what you are asking about. Though, the lower the p/e the better, and 10.81 is a good indicator of growth.

So you got 3000*(7.20/4)=5400 as a dividend. Since it is possible you have a broker, they may have taken 2400 in fees which is why you only got 3000. But I really cannot tell why you got 3K without knowing all your 'facts'.

Stock volativity is a given and, despite a healthy p/e, current stock situation has no bearing on future stock performance.

I don't know how you drop that much in a stock and know nothing about this, even the basics. I would really recommend learning more about the market. The Motley Fool is a very educational website, and easily understood. I am glad you are making some money, but you could easily lose it all if you are not vigilant about your stock. And if you have a broker, you can't rely on him/her to always 'get your back'. Please please please learn about this. It may seem overwhelming at first, but it really isn't. Besides, once you know a little, you can get rid of your broker, get a discount broker, and keep a LOT more of the 5400 dividend.

Come one - you have to be kidding. You own that much stock and don't have a broker? Get a good broker and he/she will explain things. Don't expect some goon here to be able to really help you.
