Does even small ticket items like your toothpaste have to be from there otherwise you feel it is not good? I am, I guess I feel that all pharmacy and food products have some special magical coating on them and that the same pharmacy and food products found at a walmart or a dollar store are of lesser value.

Tim Hortons donuts company in Canada tells employees that all tips must be donated to their " send a kid to camp" charity ,for which Tim Horton's company recieves the tax benefits. Is it legal to demand that an employee donate their tips to your charity while you recieve the benefits?

I have an offer from a company to work with them as a 1099 Independent Contractor. However they are telling me what they'll pay me ($500/wk) and determinining the deliverables. As a contractor, do I legally have a say in both the pay and what will be done?

Also, it is a small start-up company, and they are paying all of their "employees" as contractors to save the company money. Is this shady?

I've always been a W2 employee, so any advice/input would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
I've been offered a loan by this company, but before I can get it they want £150.00 Bank Transfer Charges and £50.00 Insurance Levi: I don't mind that if it is legal and acceptable practice, and not a CON, also their address is yahoo.
If anyone has heardof, or dealt with them, please let me know if it is a reputable company: I can get a bit over the with my paranoia when it comes to scams etc. Thank you all.
