ceo always ask "So, what's new today?" whenever we meet, expecting a clever answer. What would be best answer to capture attention instead of "nothing much, how's your day?"

Sure, there are more things to hate about it than can easily be counted, but what do you personally abhor about walmart?

ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE A GRIPE NEED POST. IF YOU LIKE WALMART, THEN THIS QUESTION ISN'T FOR YOU. MOVE ALONG.

Hey all,

I was curious as to how many people have had bad experiences with UPS. I have a couple friends from school who work there and they have repeatedly warned me away from using UPS to send anything important. They said no one cares if they smash boxes, and will occasionally throw boxes around just to amuse themselves.

For my story, I ordered a very hard to find pair of speakers from a store online. It took me a while to find them, and when I did, they sent them to me via UPS. A week passes... no speakers.... another week goes by. No word. Finally, they add a message to my order status. "Package destroyed in shipment. Returning to sender."

So after two weeks of waiting, I find out UPS smashed them. Then, I find out that those had been the last two the store had in stock. Lucky me.

Why do you (often) prefer to promote someone who kisses @$$ rather than someone who is willing to give you an honest opinion?
Why do you prefer someone who will consistently tell you that everything is running smoothly (presumably so they don't look bad in your eyes), rather than someone who will admit that things are definitely not going to plan?

The scene is similar to what happened with P&G and Wal-Mart where P&G denied adhering to Wal-Marts demands of producing products according to Wal-Marts specification. This resulted in Wal-Mart taking out all the P&G products off its shelves and P&G profits reduced by around 20%. P&G had no choice but accept Wal-marts demands and produce according to their specification. The similar situation could be faced by HLL from these emerging big players in the market. Formulate HLL,s distribution strategy to overcome dominance form players such as Bigbazzar, Reliance, Wal-Mart,etc. Consider this as a case scenario and that you are the CEO of HLL. Formulate a strategy so as to avoid becoming a puppet in the hands of these players.

OK, for fun... Do you like IKEA and the IKEA experience? Is there anything you don't like about it?

As for me, I like the cool reasonable priced stuff that is different than other stores and the cute foods they offer at the front like the Meatballs and Hot Dogs and the kiddie land thing, but I think the checkout times are way too long and their clearance section is in constant disarray and not much cheaper.

Is it a law that if you are in a management position you can not date anyone with in the company that you work for. Is this a rule that the owner comes up with or is this something that the owner can get into trouble for, for letting it go on. The place where I work the manager is dating a employee and they display their affections for each other EVERYDAY at work and the rest of us are getting really sick of it. The girl goes around thinking that she can get away with anything b\c she is sleeping with the manager and they both gang up on other employees and treat them like ****!! SOO is it a law that this is not suppose to go on in the work place, because if its not it should be!
