Control freak supervisors suck
The best thing you can do is to do what is instructed of you. A control freak basically has nothing to do but to make people around him or her miserable. (Misery loves company).
I would say to play it cool. Go to work on time, do your job correctly, and stay free away from her. You are more likely to control the situation when you concetrate on what you have to do so the time goes fast and you can go home ASAP!

Be sure not to give them any reason to be a control freak and micromanage you. If you complete your job tasks not only to expectation, but above expectation, you will start to gain the trust of the control freak. The more trust you have, the more times the control freak will leave you alone. They may even start to delegate things to you, which will give you more experience and increase your chances for promotion and higher visibility.
