I have a business idea for Block Buster Video that could make them a ton of money and tried to submit it to them and the response was " We don't take business ideas from the public." You have got to be kidding me...lol....Any one know a Block Buster executive I could submit this golden Idea to or should I be pushing this idea to Hollywood Video?

has taken over 80% of the customer base, and been meeting with your warm contacts who should be entering the market soon.

prior to this change, the impression given was that this guy was a team player, however these changes have shown his true colours.

Problem is; as the ex-manager for 2 yrs, he has a relationship with the sales director, whereas the two other sales guys(including me) have only been at the company 6 months.

any advice would be appreciated.

I work at Target as a manager. As a shopper, I love Target. As an employee, I am disatisfied.

We have no union- raises are once a year, and a good raise for a manager is about .75 cents and a good raise for a regular employee is about .25 cents. We do not get paid vacations. Managers have 1 week unpaid vacation and a few (I think 4) paid sick days. Regular employees might have collected about 3 days of vacation after a year, depending on how much they work.

Employees get promoted to managers, but VERY rarely are managers promoted to executives. Executive poisitons are filled by outsiders over I'd say 90% of the time.

We are over-worked and underpaid for the miracles they expect us to perform, and it's not just at my store, it's a problem at many stores.

I work for a multi million dollar financial company. i have been there fro 1 year. For the past 2 months, they have been talking about doing a fundraiser for my son who has medical issues. They were talking about going company wide and I have e-mail corrispondance regarding this fundraiser. During this time, the fundraiser was postponed for a month, they said to make sure that they did it right, I borrower $3000 from one of the companies that we do business with to pay off one of my son's doctors bills from the specialist to ensure that he could continue getting treatment there. I was going to pay them back as soon as the fundraiser kicked off. The fundraiser was cancelled sighting legal issues with soliciting over e-mail. The next day, one of the other employees in the company e-mailed the district managers and told them that there was money that was borrowed and not paid back and I was terminated for conflict of interest. Do I have any recourse at all?

I have had my job for 15 months, and I like the company that I work for. Last year, my department wasn't invited to the Christmas party but I couldn't do anything about it because I was the new person. I work in the transportation department of a company and my department has always been the weak dept, notorious for a lack of communtication and organization. Well, I was hired to raise the bar among my co-workers and implement new standards for intra-office communication. In the past year, I have become the system administrator for the web based program that our entire company uses, and our department has drastically improved in productivity. I recently finished a cost analysis project that will save our department an estimated 17% next year. My goal was to impress and change the face of my dept. Well, the invites just went out for the Xmas party, and I am not invited. There were 4 people left off the invite list, and it is 4 people in my dept. the 2 men are invited, but not the women.
