Lets say that where you work there's a chance employers will get arrested for various reasons...all of course related to how a business is run. Do the employees have a chance to get arrested too even if they have nothing to do with why employers are being charged for and have no idea what's going on?

I got a call fron the payroll dept of the very large comapny I WORK FOR CLAIMING TO HAVE OVERPAID ME FOR THE LAST YEAR!I changed location a year ago with a new contract and a four day week. However payroll claim not to have recieved notification of the change in my hours and continued to pay me for a five day week. They now claim I owe them 6600 euro through no fault of my own, and they want me to pay it back. I had a meeting with the head of payroll today and i offered to repay at a rate that suits me; However, it will take nine years to pay it all off! The head of department was not happy with this; I feel i have been very magnanimous about the whole affair. Should I now dig my heels and and say"If you want it, you'll have to chase me"or should I stick to my guns and say" Its your mistake; I shouldn't have to pay for it; or any ideas?

To anyone up on latest laws in nevada (Delaware and IL hasn't changed in a while, last I checked)--Is it better for me to incorporate in IL or Delaware or Nevada for conducting business with the corporation in IL and why? Does it matter whether I am selling insurance and running a commercial real estate business under one corporation? How about if I'm incorporating myself to help with tax-deductible expenses, as I'm self-employed contractor?

I read that if you are late for work, you have to call their 1800 number and give your boss a confirmation number stating that you called the number. Isnt that a waste of time? I would skip it to try to get to work faster!

What is the typical organizational structure for a publishing business like a news paper or magazine and how are responsibilities divided between the "business" and "editorial" side of the operation? When the "business" side disagrees with the "editorial" side over strategy or approach, who break the tie and makes the decision about how to proceed?

Throughout my work experience, I have never had to pay for Christmas lunch, the company always foots the bills and sometimes give a bonus to all staff. In my present place of work where I have been working for a couple of years now, they expect staff to pay for Christmas lunch. Shouldn't this be an opportunity for the organnisation to say thank you to staff tor all their hardwork.
