I received a letter in the mail w/ a $3,000 check saying I needed to deposit the check to receive my prize winnings. The company address is in the Virgin Island and the letter was mailed from Canada. Has anyone ever received a letter like this? I can't find any info on the company on the web (I could be searching wrong!) and I don't want to get screwed! Please give me feedback if you've heard ANYTHING about this company!

english language became a global standard, nations speak it in their own way (accents, etc) and this is great, BUT when i came to UK i am discriminated by English people although they understand me and i speak fluent English !

they just focus so much on the way one speaks (English way) that a content seems to be secondary.

I didn't eperience this in US or Canada or anywhere

Target charges a 10% restocking fee. Rip Off....

So you spend $100, returning it only gets you back $90.

As far as I'm concerned, those stores can go to h_ll, I will never shop for Christmas presents there.
Returns are part of what is Christmas has been all about.

These stores are just as bad as banks, service fees for everything, those dollars then go to buying lobbyists to influence legislation to better serve banks / stores and deepen there pockets. The consumer, YOU AND ME, get shafted by having less money in our pockets.

The basic idea is that their customers pay you and then you send these funds to the company that is somewhere overseas. I have seen these for companies based in China, Hong Kong, Japan and now Togo Africa. Are these scams? Identity theft scams? Or just what? I really do not see the reasoning behind these companies paying 10% to an agent to accept money from customers when the customers themselves can just send these funds directly to the company.
Anybody have any insights? Is this a legit part of the import and export business?
