Target charges a 10% restocking fee. Rip Off....
So you spend $100, returning it only gets you back $90.
As far as I'm concerned, those stores can go to h_ll, I will never shop for Christmas presents there.
Returns are part of what is Christmas has been all about.
These stores are just as bad as banks, service fees for everything, those dollars then go to buying lobbyists to influence legislation to better serve banks / stores and deepen there pockets. The consumer, YOU AND ME, get shafted by having less money in our pockets.

They've never charged me a fee for returning anything. If they try that again, ask to see the manager. If that doesn't work, tell them you are done shopping there and will tell your friends to do the same. That should send them into a panic.

From our point of view as consumers, you're right. Restocking fees can be a problem. But if you were the store owner, you'd at least want your customers to be making informed decisions about what they are buying, instead of the Wal-Mart customer mentality - "I'll just take it back if I don't like it." Returns do cost the business money. Perhaps a restock fee prevents some customers from being so lazy about their buying decisions...

Restocking fees are generally for electronics. I have never seen restocking fees on anything else. There is a reason for the restocking fee on electronics. Someone has to verify that the electronic item still works before they can put it back on the shelf. This costs because it takes time. If you are not sure what to get someone then get them a gift certificate. This has nothing to do with politics.

I love Target and I will still go. Generally when I shop, I know what I am getting. Most stores other than Wal-Mart, who seems to have a lax policy on returns, have re-stocking fees on Electronics........it is the chance that you take when you shop at those stores. Personally I would shop at Target for the cleanliness, organizational experience over the dirtiness and the rudness of Wal-Mart. Best of luck in your shopping endeavors.

Yes. Sometimes. Actually if it isn`t damaged packageing or something you get it all back. But any fees just do not make me happy.

Phone the store up and ask them. Their number should be on the reciept. Either that, or complain to Revlon, they may send you free, or money off vouchers by way of compensation, if they value their customers...

I agree all the way, I had to do that before at meijer and... it was a pain in the a_s, I was like "But I bought this for so-and-so much money," and they were like "I'm sorry it's not my problem!"
