On the UK YA site I frequently see the "THINK" logo/advert/warning for keeping car speed down - safe driving. It is an effective logo.

I get flashes of that advert now and then, but for the moment I can't find it no matter how hard I try. Is that a subliminal advert or is it something else ?

Just realized how brilliant of a marketing technique Yahoo Answers is...?
Yahoo has us yahoo's working for them with out us even knowing it. Everytime we ask or answer a question we are basically giving them free data. Whether it's from our own life or the 2 mins it took to google it, and it's now all stocked pile neatly in Yahoo Answers wallet. When a similar question gets asked through other search engines Yahoo seems to pop up more and more, there fore bringing plenty of traffic there way. And that translates into cold hard cash. I like Yahoo Answers, but it just now dawned on me how brillant the Yahoo people are, they got us working for them. Just an observation.

What do I need to add to my site to get better positioning on these engines?
(I already use pay-per-click, but am also looking to learn how to get high positioning outside of the sponsered match area)

Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi,

I need to submit a link relating to a website for cell phones. The website currently has over 11,000 pointing to them. This leads to a few questions I have:

#1, Is there a resource online that posts directories relating to cell phones? NOT link farms, but well written directories relating to cell phones?

#2, Is there a resource online that posts ezines relating to cell phones? This must be well written and offer the option to post link for life!

#3, Should I charge a setup fee to create this link building? I mean with over 11,000 sites pointing to them I'll need to do research on who is already linking.

#4, Should I charge a setup fee and $1 or $2 for each website I added their link to?

I just can't deal with my parents any longer! My mother acts as if he has all the answers. She admits she doesn't know much about computer or the net. However, again she acts like she has all the answers. I can no longer deal with her when it comes to SEO for their website. Her BS and the way she treats me as if I am stupid is starting to kill me inside. Would any like to take over the SEO and web designing for their site?

I currently have accounts setup with getafreelancer, guru and others. Why is it people are looking to have articles written for nothing? Yet, you can make more $$$$ on submitting links?

Example: Company has asked that 500 articles be written based
on a given topic. The pay? $100! That is so much BS! Hire someone from India for $30 to complete the job. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for!"

I'm with a company that was asked by one of its vendors to put a link on its page to boost their search engine ranking. While we would like to accomodate them, we don't prefer to have their link visible to visitors to our site. Can we still make a link to their site, but hidden from view without breaking SEO rules? For example, could we make a page like www.blahblahblah.com/otherlinks.html and put their link on it, but not have this otherlinks.html page accessible via any of our pages? Would this still be picked up by search engines to boost the other companies site ranking?
