I currently have accounts setup with getafreelancer, guru and others. Why is it people are looking to have articles written for nothing? Yet, you can make more $$$$ on submitting links?

Example: Company has asked that 500 articles be written based
on a given topic. The pay? $100! That is so much BS! Hire someone from India for $30 to complete the job. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for!"

I agree! It's very annoying to take the time to click through to the new jobs posted on GAF and elsewhere, only to find that people want everything for nothing. You sure do get what you pay for. I suppose with enough hundred dollar redo's, the buying community may get the hint. Well as I see it, they are not deserving of your talent. Good Hunting!

Holly O, if you haven't found your person, please email me. We are very able to Bring or Breath new life into your vision. USA based, in house copywriters, and affordable!

I am so with you on that. Someone else posted elsewhere that she stopped using the bidding services years ago because all they care about on there is cost. And as you point out you get what you pay for.

Although the crazy part is I recently signed up to have some work done and posted it on Guru as a employer and the responses I got back were awful. I plan on paying standard US rates and will award a nice price to the winner.

I got 12 responses to building me a new site. All were canned presentations or SEO only vendors with not enough information for me to pick anyone. I would basically have to call each of them and start from scratch. I spent an hour putting the list of pages and what I actually needed together only to get canned responses.

What's my point you ask?? The environment there is so ludicriously priced that everyone has to cut and paste the same response to all postings because it isn't even economical to bid anymore. It is so sad sometimes.
