Granted the freedoms in America, people are free to decide how they want to live their life, freedom of religion, freedom of morality, freedom of speech, and freedom to pursue one's own happiness. Granted that these are priciples to allow one to make a life of his/her own, one can also not disagree that come these freedoms also results in the "Me Me" ideal of living. Everything a person does is motivated by selfishness. For example, Companies donate money to charity, not for goodness sake, but for publicity that they are good, which would help their public image and in return make more money, greed is behind all aspects of americal life and motivation. If no one is looking, people behave differently than if someone is looking, so people are fake in a sense. In modern day life here in america, the values are making money, having sex, and hedonistic activities. The values of leave it to beaver days is extinct. The idea of shame, ethics, integrity, honesty no longer matter anymore

Ive never been in this situation before, and I guess not alot of others have either since I cant get a definate answer. Im not sure if the bank will send me a letter of eviction or if I will get a court date or what. I am only a renter but I would think that they would have to give me some kind of eviction notice right? My landlord is no help either, she has just kind of skipped town. I think she got involved in some bad things and used my rent money to support her new found habit.

i went to my interview and i did wat they told me to do..go to the costumer service and they told me to go up the stairs and turn left..and wen i got up the stairs i asked one of those ppl working their and his like she just left and so he called her from his phone thingy and i was like ok so should i wait here and i did and i waited like 10 mins and she wasnt their so i decided to knock on the door
and no one was their so i went back to the customer service and they called her name again so i waited and then that person from the customer service told me to come talk to the manager and the manager told me she had to leave cuz of an emergency so their like call or we will call u to reschedule and their gonna let her know that i came....

ok so do you think they will give me a call to reschedule????

I have worked in construction management for 10 years, I represent the Owner, and have control over the general contractor who does work for the Owner. Often is the case where the WHITE general contractor will shout to get his way, usually for more money, or to not be tide down to justify his cost for asking for more money to do what is already in the contract documents, so they bully you , resort to threats, act overly emotional, and it seems like these are the only tactics they know to try to get there way. As for me, an asian guy, I don't ever raise my voice nor is emotional in such encounters, I just say, if you can't justify the cost in a piece of paper, then you don't get the money. I am leaving this industry because dealing with WHITE PEOPLE in this industry is like working with cavemen. WHITE PEOPLE DISGUST ME, THEY HAVE NO CLASS.

I receive my payroll bi-weekly--26X a year and did not recieve it oday--firm says they are sending a check---but this could take an additonal 5 days--is this legal--or must they provide payroll on the day it is due?

I have a construction job which I have attained for the last three years. I am also a student working on a BA degree. I have just transferred to the University with all of my GE finished. It is my parents dream for me to attain a BA degree but it is now a snag with my boss. He has always known that I am a student and thinks that it is a waiste of time because I don't know what I am going to do with it when I am finished with college. He has taught me many skills within his profession and it is hurtful for me to think of using them for someone else on the job site (in finding another job) my school comes first but I care very much about my lasting impression with my current boss as he has been a construction mentor and friend. please respond with what you think I should do and let me know I will be much abliged thank you

My coworker is now getting 24 hours notice as to when her apartment is to be shown but is leaving for the weekend and doesnt appreciate people in the appartment without her being there.

Is she allowed under NYS law to decline an appointment due to not being there?

In the past, stuff in her place has been moved around and her cats let out (they are indoors only cats). This is the main reason why she has a problem.

So can she deny their requests if she has something reasonable going on?
