Once I got a check for 3600 with 2480 take home. Then I got a check for 2000 with 1600 take home.

Anyone know how the taxable rate of overtime is figured. I have overtime for 40.5 hours. I can break this up over two pay periods if I would get taxed less.

Any help appreciated!

I'm the deputy editor on a magazine and the editor is completely disorganised and an absolute nightmare to work with, as well as being really dishonest to me when I discover she has made certain errors. I have covered for her mistakes and blunders for well over a year and I don't think it's fair that I do it anymore. I've even filled up a notebook with diary entries for months on end to keep a record of all the ways she has messed things up. I really want to make a serious complaint to our publisher but will I look like a tell-tale or come across as someone who can't cope with the pressure? Help!

OK, so here's the deal. My husband got his paycheck last week, signed it and left it at the house. He then went out of town for the next few weeks due to business. I had plenty of money to last UNTIL my car broke down on Friday and I had to pay A LOT to get it repaired on Monday. Now, I'm running low on funds and I have to pay the mortgage, grocery shop, etc. We do not have a bank account (stupid, yes, but we closed ours a month ago due to the fact that we were getting screwed and didn't have time to open another one at another bank.) Is there any way that I can get it cashed, or does he have to be with me? The check is already signed, and yes, we are legally married. THANKS

I'm trying to get a job right now---a permanent one because I just graduated (finally!), but I don't know what's the best way to send in a resume in response to job ads. When the employer says you can fax, email, or mail it in, which is the best way to send it to catch their attention? I'd assume email, but I was thinking a million other people will send it that way, and I want to make sure I stand out.

Also, if there's a job that I'm super interested in, should I just show up at the place, resume in hand, ready for an interview? I understand that people are busy and such, and I may have to schedule an appointment, but is it a good idea? Will it show that I am super interested? Or is it annoying?

PLEASE HELP!!!!! I'd be especially grateful for responses from HR employees. Thanks!
