You have a few misconceptions there. First of all, contrary to popular belief, in today's world you do not need big money to set up businesses;you need good ideas. Online is also a good place to start a business without capital. Secondly, gigantic businesses do not necessarily make high return. Thirdly, poor background will not influence your ability to excel financially. You need knowledge about money in order to be financially wise.

There are many books at the library that cover this topic. Also you can enroll in a community college that offers a class in business that covers the subject you are interested in.

Get a small business grant from your town city hall. You have to walk before you can crawl. Don't think so big yet. Get your feet off the ground first, then expand.
