I have a roommate who didn't ask for clarification, but asked to use our internet service via my router, (high speed internet) and even borrower my TV to hook up Cable into his room. 6 months later and he's moving out, and I asked him for utilities and he says he shouldn't pay because my listing said "utilities included". OK, so even if my listing did say that, does that mean I have to pay for his high speed internet and cable TV access? Are those utilities or luxuries? And he never asked for clarification? I have his $300 deposit, but I have a feeling he will put up a fight if I withhold it.

What do you think?

What other items other than liens should be looked at, and how, and where? Looking in an ad for auction, it says "beneficiary may elect to bid less than the total amount due", what do they mean, and who is the beneficiary? If people are still living @ the property, how does the buyer take possession of the property since the ad claimes " the sale in an 'as is' condition, without covenant or warranty, regarding title, possession or encumbrances to satisfy the "indebtness secured by said Deed of Trust, advances thereunder, with interest as provided, and the unpaid principal of the Note secured by said Deed of Trust with interest thereon as provided in said Note, pluse fees, charges and expenses of the Trustee and of the Trusts created by said Deed of Trust"? Looks like there are so many legal issues intended by this language in the ad that I like to know exactly what is involved? Also Is it O.K. to approach owners, and what should be offered?

I have a mortgage on $95k @ 10.99%, my second mortgage is on $25K @ 12.99%. my payments are over $1,200 per month. I only earn about $1500 a month. I care for my handicapped mother. I am not lieing!! If I could find someone to do like a land contract on my property or something I can get myself out of this rut. I do not want a hand out.

I just need someone to help me out. I am willing to sign over property, in lieu of cash to pay off mortgage, which in turn I will pay interest on $ loaned. I need about 2 or 3 years to clear up my credit so I can get a mortgage at decent interest rate.

Please help,
Bryan

I got into a little credit trouble when I was 20. Nothing major, less than $3,000. It took me a while to get it taken care of. I tried for some time to get credit cards and loans and nobody would give me credit. I had to get my first cell phone in my mom's name. 2 years ago I was able to get one in my name and I just got my first credit card in 7 years. How can I build credit? I want to do it right this time and be able to buy a house and a car, or get a small business loan. HELP!!!

After giving my landlord a letter to make repairs he had ignored, he in return got mad and came over with a new lease with a higher amount of rent to pay and making us responsible for all the repairs from now on. This was given to us today 06/15/06 and we were told if we do not sign it by tomorrow he will give us a thirty day notice. We have lived here for 1 year and 2 months, have never paid rent late except twice we paid on the 2nd and paid a $25.00 late fee. We are now on a month to month lease, until today he is requesting us to sign this another 1 year lease or get out in thirty days. What are our rights?

I was recently contacted by a company who purchased an old credit card debt. I have spoken to them a couple of times about a settlement, however, my original debt is over four (4) years old, statute of limitations in my home state of Texas is four years. I know I can no longer be sued on this debt. My question is since I have already talked to these people, I have made no payment or signed anything, has this started the statute of limitations over, or can I still let this go.
