Hair - July 2007

Hey people, im about to spend some really big money on getting my hair chemically straightened, and need some really good advice please....so i need to know from people who know someone whos done it, or have done it themselves, and im not talking about relaxing.

Ok questions:

1)how long does it last???really, ive been to a salon, got my hair relaxed, and the next day it was back to being really frizzy and dull, someitimes worst......

2)is their much maintenance involved in keeping it straight

3)since the hair is dead straight after the process, does that mean my hair will only be down?, or will i be able to style it whichever way i want?

please help wherever possible, im thinking of getting it done 2morro!

I dyed my hair blonde (from the box) and it looked bad so i dyed it again a couple hours later. The next day I dyed it black becuase the blonde loked bad. (keep in mind i dyed it blonde not bleached it. After I dyed it black hairs started falling out...how much more hair will come out.

i went to the salon and they put a meduim golden brown and it nuetralizes the highlights a bit. They still look ashy and green and are not taking any color. They tried to use two toners and now a hair dye and still I see that they are ashy.Do I need to cut them out? Help my hair was beauitful and long now it is ruin.

Can anyone give me a good place to get my hair braided near Hampton, VA? Some of the places I've been either don't get there on time, over charge me or take forever. Just would like some suggestions..thanks!

And if i used the hair dyer, in how many day the hair should be wahsed?

My hair is dry and the weather is kinda warm and hot like from 32 C to 38C day time.

Hello. I don't know much about cosmotologly/hair stuff, so i was hoping if you guys can help me out.

I was just wondering if you guys think i shoud get my hair layered. I'm East Indian and I have black hair that is thick, kinda long (few inches past my shoulders), and pretty straight.

Do you think layered hair would look good on me? If so, what exactly should I tell the hairdresser. And does anyone have pics of layered hair that is my type of hair?

One of my closest friends opened a salon and has been doing my hair for a couple of years and she is great at it. A different friend went into the city for a hair do and is absolutly raving about it. I would like to go and try but i dont want to hurt my friend. she will know because I see her all the time and she has been the only one cutting my hair for years. Do I go? or should i stick with the same old do?

Do they still make Infusium 23 Complete Moisture Restoration Treament? It came in 5.1 oz container with a silver pump top. Has anyone else been using this product? Did they stop making it or did they change the formula? I can't find it on the website. It works very well to smooth out my thick, fizzy hair. Someone please tell me the product still exists!

Of course, I was stupid enough NOT to wear gloves while helping to dye my friends hair. The blonde streaks were successful, but I have a slight issue!

On my fingers, the dye stained a blotchy pattern that is almost white!

Its freaking me out!
