Of course, I was stupid enough NOT to wear gloves while helping to dye my friends hair. The blonde streaks were successful, but I have a slight issue!

On my fingers, the dye stained a blotchy pattern that is almost white!

Its freaking me out!
What do I do?

bleach and high lift color always does that, wash your hands as best you can and it will fade in hours or day,I am a stlist and I do it all the time, it stings and iches but it will stop dont worry, don't go buy anything, these people are giving advice if you have color stains on your hands not bleach, bleach will be white and ichy,it will go away in a few hours just wash hands

I am so sorry to say this, but as far as I know you can't do anything but use lotion to moisturize your skin right to keep it from getting dry and ... let it do it's course. A friend and I put hot pink in our hair and even through the gloves our hands turned slightly pink, it took a few days but the pink worked it's way out slowly. And then I had it redone at a salon and her hands turned pink just drying my hair and were that way for a few days. At least you don't have blue or green or flaming hot pink on your hands ... I've never been able to get hair dye stains off my hands even with gloves and scrubbing till it hurt. Ask around at salons and beauty supply stores but your hands are bleached, it's not dye so there is nothing to pull out. I hope you can find some way to solve it though.

I used to work in a hair salon and the stylist would get dye on their skin a lot. At the salon we had this special stuff that took dye off of the skin. I would go to a salon and ask people there--Im sure they'd help you out...
If you dont want do do that washing your hands serveral times should make it come off.

Pour 1/4 cup of bleach into 1/2 gallon of 'warm' (not hot) water in a 'tall' bowl ... put your hands into the water, one at a time, and let them 'sit' there for 15-30 minutes. WASH WELL with a good soap, and then rinse well after that. DRY CAREFULLY ... your hands may not be 'totally clean' but they will look 'close to perfect.' BUT BE CAREFUL ... if you have 'false nails' or long fingernails, they could 'break easily' because of the 'bleach' ... so cut them 'short' and make them look 'neat' and they'll grow out EXTRA HEALTHY after their little 'bleach bath.'

I think that you should wash your hands, and make sure they do not smell like the dye, and then; wait for about a day and It will come out.

Well I hope you learned your lesson. The same thing happened to my sis, she said it took a really long time but it eventually faded.

Go to Sally's and buy some remover. I forget the name of it. They'll know what you mean. Good luck!
