I had straightened it pretty much every day. Now, when scrunched all I can get my hair to do is a slight ( VERY SLIGHT) wave thing but the ends are COMPLETELY straight..the texture of my hair is terrible its lost shine and volume. Before you tell me.. I realize that straightening it every day was just plain stupid if I thought i'd still have my curls.. I realize that now =( HELLP! Thanks to all in advance!

I've got thick auburn long curly hair and have have the same boring haircut for ages- the typical long layers, no fringe. I want something a bit unusual and modern but still easy to look after and not too short (or i end up with the 80's frizz thing happening).
