I had straightened it pretty much every day. Now, when scrunched all I can get my hair to do is a slight ( VERY SLIGHT) wave thing but the ends are COMPLETELY straight..the texture of my hair is terrible its lost shine and volume. Before you tell me.. I realize that straightening it every day was just plain stupid if I thought i'd still have my curls.. I realize that now =( HELLP! Thanks to all in advance!

Heat appliances, like straighteners in this case, strip the hair of its natural oils and moisture. Your hair won't curl because its dried out from repeated hair straightening. But, have no fear, because you can nurse your hair back to health. I have curly hair as well and I went through my straightening my hair everyday phase so I've been there. Firstly, put down the iron! I think that if you learn to take care of your curls you'll learn to love them, trust me. And the better you take care of them, the better they'll look. If your hair is relatively long, I'd cut off as much length as you can stand it. Assuming you don't already have them, I'd also add some layers into your hair, that way your continuing to chop off as much hair as possible but keeping some style as well. Layers can also be really beneficial when it comes to styling and maintaining curly hair. I don't know how often you shampoo, but if you do every day, cut it back to every other day. That sounds crazy, but unless your hair is extremely oily, shampooing every day is really damaging. The majority of shampoos contain sulfates, which are basically detergants that can strip your hair of moisture even more. Obviously use conditioner every day, and days that you dont shampoo, rub the conditioner into your scalp and let it sit for a minute or two and then rinse. I'd look for some styling products that are moisturizing, such as leave in conditioners. Also, any products containing protein are beneficial for dry hair. Once a week try using a deep conditioner after you shampoo also. You can pick any of this stuff up at a local drugstore. Phew, sorry that was long! Good luck!

Try BioSilk to regain some of the shine for your hair. You can get it at JC Penny and some other hair salons. Try Trade Secrets.

You might not be able to regain your nice natural ringlet curls until the damaged portion grows out.

Deep condition your hair, buy some 3 to 5 minute treatments and use it at least twice a week. Don't use a hair dryer, let your hair dry naturally, hair dryers will cause your hair to become straight. You sound like you have hair just like my sister, so stay away from heat (hair dryers, straightners) for a while until your hair is back to normal.

properly flat ironing especially plenty ruins your hair through fact it burns it, so attempt to no longer use it except actually needed. As for paying to your curls lower back, i think of you may desire to take actual sturdy care of it now by using making use of hair conditioner and doubtless giving your hair slightly medical care. there's a brilliant form of things available which supply nutrients and supplementations to your hair. So sturdy luck!!
