I want to have scene hair without dying it or extensions. My hair is really light brown and pretty fine and almost shoulder-length, though. Does anyone know a scene style I can pull off?

Pics would be nice, too.

Straighten you're hair to be "dead" straight.
If your hair has layers the following will work best ....

Tease the top of your hair where the layers are,
Left, Right, And Back.
Hair Teasing -
Back brush & hair spray into place if it doesn't stay by itself

bangs,
Almost into ur eyes but not into ur eyes (like mine kinda thing)
Either go classic bangs, but make them straight & long.
Or cut them to go off to the right side, or left side.
Left side is more popular.

If you want the pouffy, messy hair look, you'll have to tease your hair to create volume.
Use lots of hair spray.

Your hair is kind of short to achieve that "scene" hair, but if you can bangs, that'll create the look.

check myspace, if you can find one girl with a style you like, her friends will probably have others that are similar. that way you can find lots easily. also try vampirefreaks.com, it's a goth/emo/scene chat site and there should be lots there, even if the site's a little weird.

that's cute, if you moved your bangs to the side a bit so your eyes wouldn't be covered.
