I'm doing an school newspaper article on fashion and fad of the 90's only (I don't mean technology and toys). And I want some elaborate info from ppl who know what was the "hot" looks and fads during the 90's, such as the Rachel haircuts, jelly shoes, etc. (I'm only a kid during the 90s, so I couldn't have body piercings or bleached hair).

I have recently bought a plain, white strapless dress to wear on my 21st birthday. It (as I mentioned) is plain white but it has a little black lace that lines the very top of it as well as a thick piece of black lace that goes around the entire dress right under the bustline. The dress reaches down to just above my knees. I will be getting black, thin, peak-toe heels to match. I am getting my nails painted shiny black (to match the lace...i think it will look better than red)
So...all i need to figure out now is which jewelry will look nice...(i believe the saying, "less is more!"
oh yes, and I also bought a little black sweater to wear because the birthday's in feb! brrr

I was just wondering what kind of shoes anyone would suggest for arched feet? They are not very arched but I find that when I wear alot of shoes, they become very sore when walking short distances. I am interested in buying a good running shoe that is not too much. Are Dr. Scholl's shoes as good as they make them seem? Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

I'm 15, and i had my ears pierced at 3, and all i remember is screaming how bad it hurt. then i had to let them close up due to ear infections. now my mom is bribing me with a pair of really really pretty $60 earings, so what should i do? I HATE HATE HATE needles, and im ok with pain, but not too much. can someone give me a realistic idea of how much it hurts???? thanks!

I'm up for a new look. I'm tall (5'10") so please do not suggest a mini skirt...a regular mini skirt on me is more like a micro mini. I am slender but I do have a butt on me...I think I'm a mix of my parents (my dad being 6'5" and really thin and my mom being 5'3" and really curvy).

So, any suggestions? I'm starting to like skirts....I never had any occasion to wear them, but they seem to be popping up more and more now. Thanks for the help!

All of the jeans I find in the petite sections are at least a 30" inseam and I would guess that I'm less than a 28" inseam. I usually wear a size 3 in juniors or a stretch size 1.
Also if there is any special stores around San Diego, please let me know.
