how do you work a faxing machine?

i was sick and in math class we have a ditto and i can't get it and my friend has it and she has a faxing machine but hse doesn't know how to work it HOW DO YOU WORK A FAXING MACHINE!!! please help !!! thank you i know this isn't a beauty/ style question!!

Usually, if it makes copies, there's a "copy" button. I'd put the sheet in, and hit the button.

If you want her to send it to you, she should feed the sheet into the feeder (this is usually pretty obvious, so I can't offer any better description). Most often, the page to be faxed should be put in face down.

Then, she should pick up the handset, and dial the number to where she wants it faxed. As soon as she hears the fax squeal, she should push the "go" or "send" button (most often, this is a big, green button). Then the machine will suck the sheet in, take a pic, and send the data over the phone line, so that your machine can replicate the image at your end.
