I'm 15, and i had my ears pierced at 3, and all i remember is screaming how bad it hurt. then i had to let them close up due to ear infections. now my mom is bribing me with a pair of really really pretty $60 earings, so what should i do? I HATE HATE HATE needles, and im ok with pain, but not too much. can someone give me a realistic idea of how much it hurts???? thanks!

It really doesnt hurt that much. I'm 15 too and thinking about getting my second holes pierced in my ears. I mean when you're 3 its traumatic for you so it probably didnt hurt that bad, it just shocked you because you werent expecting it. I think you should totally get them pierced cuz after the 1st couple hours or so you wont even feel anything anymore!

Go to a Piercing Place, they have a neat little machine and in no time at all the ear ring gets pushed through, all in one motion, its done in seconds.
It happens so fast and only stings a bit. You can do it!
Important! after insertion of ear ring, make sure you continuously turn the new ear ring and cleanse several times a day with peroxide to avoid infection.
The reason for turning? So the hole stays open.

It really dosent hurt that much. It stings more than anything. but only for a second. and you dont have to see a needle because they usually use a piercing gun on your ears. It hurts a little more when you get your cartilage pierced though.

Its really not that bad. If your so scared just get one person on each side to pierce them at the same time. Thats what I did when I first got my ears pierced because I was just as traumatized.

Aww you were only 3? Cute! lol I pierced my own ears when I was in 6th grade LOL...well my sister did them first but they closed and I redid them. Now when I look at them I notice that they're crooked lol so make sure you get someone else to do your ears. I have 5 permanent holes in my ears LOL & they're all crooked...sigh. But that's neat I wish I could erase my holes and make them align.

Those earrings sound pretty, 60 bucks wow! Go for it!

okay, i got my ears pierced when i was about 12 and it feels like some one is pinching your ear really hard unless, you have sensitive ears then it might hurt more. I'm 13 and I'm thinking about getting my cartilage pierced. if i can do that then you can get your ears pierced. tell me what those beutiful earings look like on you.

im 14 and i just got my ears pierced. I didnt feel a thing. the only thing that hurts is if you dont clean them regularly they can get infected and swollen. it didn't hurt, so i wouldn't worry.
