Beauty & Style - 25 January 2007

I had my bf pierce my nose with one of those disposable ear piercing guns. Now the piercing has this little red bump on it and the ring goes through it. Is it infected? I read on other questions that it might be a keloid formed from the piercing *I think it's from cheap jewelry*. Should I take it out? or is there a way I can get a better quality ring and keep it clean so the bump goes away?

Oh and now sometimes when i take it out, if I push from the other side of my nose on the inside it almost looks like this skin comes out and there's some blood, I took a little of it out and it didn't hurt, what is that? It's almost like skin or whatever is inside the bump or deeper maybe?

I cannot decide which one, I have a fair complextion and long dark hair just incase you needed to know. I am also tall and thin, so bikini's are not a problem.

If the fashion industry is not willing to ban all together size zero models on the catwalks (see London fashion show coming up), i thought a nice idea would be to have regular size 10/12 women walk hand in hand with the professionals to show off the clothes.
After all, the clothes we, regular women (i'm a size 10), find in high street shops, are only a vague reminder of what was shown onto the catwalks. The clothes are adapted to the mainstream public (thank god!) and very few women could actually wear the designer clothes in their every day life. So, keeping this in mind, it would be nice to see what WE would look like in the orginal designs in APPROPRIATE and more REALISTIC sizes.
I'm sure i'm not the only woman when i say skinny models don't reflect at all what the outfit would look like on me. I've hips, breasts and can only compare the models to my 13 year old teenage daughter.
What do you think about my idea?

I have oily skin but I also have flaking between my eyebrows and on the sides of my nose. I need a moisturizer to put on in the mornings before my make up. I cannot use anything made by Vaseline. Are there any natural moisturizers I can use? Has anyone found a product that works well for them?

I'm talking about the one where you stand in a room and a machine sprays it on you. Does it make you look orange? How many times do you have to go in order to get a good tan? Does it go on even? It is $40 a session where I live so I would like to know if it's really worth the money before I go.

I got a monroe piercing back in August 2006, so I've had it for a while and it healed fine. Lately though, I noticed that on the inside, a little flap of skin from the inside of my lip has torn away but is still attached. I think it was because of the backing or something, because its just this little clump of skin that came off but is attached at one point. What the hell is going on? There's no pain at all, I actually took off the jewelry today to see what the heck it was, but I didn't want to rip that little flap of skin off tho. Anyone ever had this??? please help!

I've recently found myself addicted to getting tattos. I've seen pictures of people with blacklight or UV tattoos, but none of them were african american. I'm wearing black flare pants with a red sweater - I have black ankle boots OR black strappies shoes, but you can only see my toes, not my ankle... (I don't generally wear stockings, so bare toes??? will have to do a home-pedicure real quick) I like the shoes better than the boots, but I'm not sure what's okay.

Need an opinion please.... no I'm not a fashion follower, so I just want to look nice, not trendy....
