One of my biggest problems is keeping my hair done. I've gone to like 10 beauty shops out here in Los Angeles and for the most part it's like everyone wants to sell you a weave or braids. However, it is easier to wear and fun. It's like everyone wears extensions out here. However, in my experiences not just in LA but in Dallas,Tx too. Black Beauticians can be:
1. RUDE
2. They don't show up for appts. They will say they can fit you in at noon and you have to wait like 2 hours before those skanks even show up. Then they try to LIE and say that they said they tried to call you or they will give you some lame excuse.

3. If you are an upscale Black person its hard to even pretend to be GHETTO just to get them to fix your hair properly.

I want to go to a salon where they are clean, upscale, high class looking. I want to be offered upscale hair care products to make my hair grow. i want a stylist who's NOT so ghetto and JEalous.
I feel like I'm CURSED. Does Anyone understand?

The last time I had my hair colored in any way they first removed color (it was way too black) and then they put in a toner because I just wanted it to be really dark brown/almost black. It turned out really good and lasted a long time, but it has since faded to a lighter/duller shade of brown. I want my hair that rich dark/almost black color again. Do I ask for toner or regular color? (My hair is long by the way.) And is toner gentler than regular color?

Well, I went today, and I must say this lady did a wonderful job, she explained everything she was doing as she went along, and I ended up with the cutest neat curly 'fro ever! So yes, a white woman did a wonderful job with my hair -- oh and I was in and out of there in 1 hr, only spent $18 bucks!! WhooooHooooo!! have a good day ladies!

Don't worry I'm not going to get a "wedding band" or a boyfriend or husbands name. I want to get my sons name in Japanese characters around my right ring finger. I want it there so I can put a ring on it and cover it up if I am around family members that might find it offensive. I live in Japan so tattoos aren't look highly upon the older generation. I already have one tat so I am not going into this blindly. If you have one how was the pain and how did it turn out?? Thanks
