At what age should Little girls get their first hair cut?

I have a 18month and would like to get comments on how soon I should cut her hair

my sister (who is a cosmotologist) said that 18mon. is perfect as long as she has 1/2-1in to cut.

Well I think at around 2 years old is good. Also if you want your daughter to have thick hair you should get a bowl hair cut for her. I know it may look and sound silly, but if you get it cut like that and trim it like every 4 weeks it will get thicker and then gradually grow it longer. Thats what my parents did to me and my hair is thick, and people always comment on it how beautiful and thick it is, I also recommended this to my freind to do it to her daughter and it's looking so good right now she's almost 6 and it's so pretty and thick. I really recommend that and ya, I think 18 months is a good age to get her hair cut. I hope this helps.

it is a known fact that if you cut your hair it will look better feel better, be easier to manage, and overall be more healthy if you kid looks like a rag doll or has unmanageable hair i would cut it, if you think she looks fine then leave it also you may want to take into consideration weather or not she will stay still for a hair cut most places wont cut hair if the kid cant stay still my daughter was so scared of the lady that cut her hair she was as still as a rock i cut my daughters hair the first time i just pulled it all to her back and cut it in kinda a smile shape then parted her hair and made each side even this may not be easy to do tho unless her hair is long my daughters hair was down to her butt when i finally cut it

It depends on the length of her hair. No ones hair grows as fast or the same as every one else's. My daughter had hardly any hair when she was born, I had to tape bows in for pictures. It didn't grow much till she was almost 2. Then it grew as beautiful as a models hair. She is a senior in college now and has the most gorgeous long dark brown hair! When my son was born he had black hair from is head to his toes (not like that hairy guy on TV!). He is 17 now and still has that peach fuzz of his back, arms, neck & legs. What I mean is when it starts to get long enough where you could maybe straighten it up or even it out. If it is all sorts of lengths and shabby looking, I would say it's a good time to trim it up...

I don't know I did not get my hair cut except for a trim on the very ends untill I was 22 but i got my first trim (just the tips)probably around a year old and then every other month after

Whenever you want to get her hair cut. I have a son who's hair was out of control so I cut it when he was 9 months old. I mean he had the Donald Trump Comb-over.........Now I have a 1mo old daughter......but as soon as her hair is out of control I am going to cut it and even it out so that it grows out nice and then I will let her have nice long pretty hair lol Good Luck

Whenever you feel the time is right. It depends on how fast her hair grows and if you want to grow her hair, or keep it short. My daughter got her first haircut when she was almost 3. She didn't really need it but it was a special time for her and mommy to get their hair done before her brother came along.

After she had her first birthday and here where I life the people that cut my hair says you need to do it when the moon will be full that night that helps it grow beautiful and healthy it helps me so I don't know if it will help her have that type of hair :)

At what age will you grow up and realize there are no set time to do anything like cutting your kids hair!! You want us to rule your whole life? You don't ever have to cut her hair!!!
