How can I put my very long hair up?

Hi, I have very long, thick hair, it comes down below my waist and is very, very thick with a slight wave. How can I put it up so it doesn't get in my face? I know how to do a bun by twisting it round, but would love some other ideas. Thanks!

Dont listen to FunnyGirl she is being sick, Do you dare cut it. I wish I had the same lenght of hair you have and I have been trying so dont cut it, Buns are one of my favorite, but I know it can get boring, Now I dont know if you have tried the topsy tail but I like it Most of the girls on the photos dont have hair as long as you, mine is pass my shoulders and I used it on my hair and like it and I used on my friends hair which is really curly and middle of her back it looked nice and different

Suits: Any thickness, bobbed or longer.
Try It: Blow-dry hair to 80% dry, then spritz with a curl-boosting spray and roll onto large velcro rollers for a gentle wave. Use a hairdryer set the curls and leave hair to cool before removing the rollers. Pull the hair back very loosely, allowing waves to frame the face, and coil in a bun at the nape of the neck, pinning in place. This will also work on shorter hair, which won't need to be rolled into a bun, just pinned under.

My daughters hair is even longer i have a lot of different ways of doing her hair for work for her. one. is to section it and make little buns connected all the way done till she ends up with a thin ponytail. another is to put it in braids and then braid the braids together. She likes the last one best because she has very straight hair the wont hold a curl or wave.

My hair is to the middle of my back, and curly. I like how mine looks in a ponytail on top of my head, or pigtails (worn low), braids, ponytails with the last loop of the holder incomplete (so it forms a bun with spriggy bits), bandanas, headbands. My favorite right now is a french twist with loose curls at the top, and a bandana with the ends tied at the top of my head, a cute retro thing.

When I had my very long hair, I would use one of those claw type clips. I would twist my hair up and use the clip. My hair was so long though that half of it would come out the top of the clip and then hang over, but it actually looked really cute. It looked like a ponytail in a way. (Then I cut it all of and donated it to Locks of Love :) )

If you know how to do a french braid that is one way. You can also do a lobster tail by using 2 strands rather than 3 (like a french braid) Your doing the same way a french braid is done except that you use 2 strands.

I like the bun idea cause its simple but if you are looking for something a little more complex, you could french braid it. Besides that I'm not quite sure what to do.

YOu can put it in a bun I guess, but I do this one thing where I twist my hair into a ponytial and put it in a clip, I have long think hair.
