no its customary to tipp anyone that gives you any kind of service...pizza deliever...hair stylest...grocery sacker..etc

As a salon owner I think that whoever thought that no tipping the owner policy should be b%*#h slapped. As an owner I now make less then when I worked for someone. It is a common misconception that if you own your business, and bar owners know this also, you must have a ton of money. Exact opposite is true every penny i make goes right back in to the register. I look forward to the days when i can start keeping all my tips. So please share these thoughts with others, and remember .....

ALWAYS tip always always always. Unless your stylist totally screws up doesn't listen and shaves your head and you never plan on going back to her again. I do booth rent so it is like owning my own little salon and if people don't tip I don't put in the extra effort to make sure they get a timely appointment with me. Everyone likes to be appreciated.
