Ok so I have been looking to buy photoshop and all the photoshop programs seem to be a bit out of my price range [[$650 and up]]... is there anywhere that I can get it for cheaper? I really want this program! I love taking pictures and can tweak it using other programs, but not the way I could if I used this program. Thanx in advance for your help!

I have allways been interested in photography. I fancied sports photography as a kid but never followed it up. I looked at the courses in my area and have missed this years enrollment. I have a full time job so plan to do night classes next year now. In the meantime I fancy getting some equipment and grasping the basics myself so I dont come across as a complete amature next year. I know there are many different cameras and that the basic equpment is quite epensive. I dont need a really expensive camera. Just one to get me going. Can anyone give me a few pointers on what stuff I should buy, any good books and any other info would be appreciated. Any tips and advice would be great!!

Thanks for your time

Hiya! I am studying photography at university in my second and third years of a media degree and whilst I have experimented with digital photography and traditional SLR photography, I am keen to invest in a polariod camera for a project I am doing.
I have no idea what polaroid camera to buy, and what would be a good one to get. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Nikomat FTn, and I need a suggestion on what type of film I should use.

I was just wondering if you could take InfraRed film and find the problem spots of insulation in a house. I have an older film camera that the manual says you can use IR film in. I am willing to try it, but figured that I would ask here first.

The pictures would not need to be too terribly clear as long as it showed where the heat was going.

I have to write a paper about someone; they should be well-known enough to have some history written about them and their photos. It would also be good if they had an interesting style... thanks

OR do you think that this type of flm will go the way of LPs, audio tapes, beta video tapes etc? Will it will be expensive & hard to find like black & white film? I just don't know. I'm looking for some concrete information. Not opinions. Thanks!

I'm looking for people who are famous for non-photo work; in other words, Richard Avedon is famous FOR photography and would not qualify.

Linda McCartney is an obvious answer. I remember a book of photographs by a movie star from a few years ago but I can't remember who it was who published the book. Thanks.

would anyone happen to know how much it costs PER roll processing with 1 set of duplicates?
I have 9 rolls of film that I need to get developed...and yes, I could go look, but I'm at work right now and am trying to figure out the balance and how much it will set me back.
I'd like to do one hour...obviously with this many rolls, that's impossible...so i'm shooting for overnight...is that possible to do with 9 rolls? Or should I just go to Walmart AND Meijer?
Mainly, I need prices. Thanks!

It feels that without fail my eyes close in every photo that there is a flash. Any ideas on how I can get over this? Is it mental? What can I do to keep my eyes open? I do notice that my eyes are sensitive, especially when I go to the eye doctor. But I'm so sick and tired of dreading the camera because I can't keep my eyes open.

I bought a few sheets from my college bookstore for my photo presentation. But I've been having a hard time finding directions for use. Im using an 11x14 mount board and the Mount Tissue is 8X10. I am displaying 3-5X7 photos on Ilford IV Delux Variable Contrast Paper.

Thanks in Advance :)

I am wanting to make a multiple exposure photo. Is this process right or what should I do?

Setup camera on tripod and take light meter reading of scene 1 at F22. Reading = 1/4sec

Stop down the exposure to -1.0 so shutter speed is 1/8 second

Take photograph of scene 1

Rewind film and then place lens cap on and put camera in darkroom and forward the film to same number as before.

Setup Camera on tripod and take light metre reading of scene 2 at F13, reading = 1/4 second.

Stop down to -1.0 so reading = 1/8 second.

Photograph scene 2

Im a little confused... I am sure there is an easier way to work this out and get the correct exposure for multiple exposure shots.

thanks
