I'm really into photography, like not so much taking pictures of people but scenery and nature and the city. things like that. I just have a normal digital camera though. What would be better for wanting to taking pictures like this? Getting a specific camera? Or having an editing program on the computer?

I know gimp is free, but I hear that it has a steep learning curve, which I don't necessarily like. I've read that Photoshop Elements is easy to use and is similar to Photoshop, which I might use later on.

Which do you recommend?

I'm wondering what people like when it comes to magazines and websites for staying up to date on new advances in graphic and photo technology. I'd like to read about digital archiving, new gadgets for staying organized, printers, cameras, lighting, as well as computer advancements when it comes to the digital photo studio.

What do you recommend?

Thank you!

Those images that would show a pack of wolves and would have teamwork written below it. Does anyone know who I am talking about?

The Camera has a 18mm-55mm lens.
Do I need a better one?
Is their something I can do to the settings that can help?
Any information about this camera is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I have been asked to take some photos for a coffeetable book that is being published. I have a 7.1 megapixel digital camera and an old SLR. I would rather use the digital camera - Is this going to suffice? If not, what type of digital camera would I need to get? Thanks,

Okay so I really want to start my own small time business. Nothing big, but I want to atleast give it a try. I do ALOT of photoshopping and things like that also. So I was wondering what would be the best camera for me to purchase. I took 2 different Photography classes during my senior year of high school so I know a very limited amount about cameras. We worked more on film cameras and film developing process insted of spending much time on Digital. So I was wondering if any one would help. I know a bit about shutter speeds, aperture, ISO equivalent, and Image resolution etc..etc. I was wondering what is a good ISO and shutter speed for nearly studio quality? How much megapixels do I really need? I narrowed my choices down to just two cameras.

My budget is at a $350 max. Here are the two cameras.

I've changed my major to journalism and am wondering why I have to take a class in photography using and developing film. Isn't it outdated? Are journalists really using film cameras today

Hi All,

Does anyone know of any available traditional photography/darkroom workshops or intensive training classes in Toronto?

Most of the colleges (Sheridan, Humber, etc) offer either extensive, time-consuming classes or offer only digital photography classes. What I'm looking for is short-lasting but intensive, hands-on training workshops for adults who have 9-5 jobs.

Does that kind of thing exist?

Hey, I have a Canon T70. In a nutshell, it's my 1980's 35mm SLR Camera, with a ton of programmable features that you have with just about any SLR, such as the Aperture, ISO, Shutter speed, etc. I have a tripod to take pictures at night, and I am really excited to do so. However, I don't know how to properly take them. I tested out a roll, and took about 10 pictures, and only 1 came out =[

What are some good sites or links, or even just some advice that you could share in helping me? Thanks, I really appreciate the answers. Photography is my passion.
