I am looking for a piece of artwork I saw once, a long time ago. It is Norman Rockwell-esque, and it may actually be a work of his for all I know (I have looked and cannot find it). It is of a girl in her room, too sick to go to the school dance (you can tell as she looks out her window forlornly at the school and you can see her dress and invitation) but what she doesn't see is her date peering around her door to spend time with her, either bringing her flowers or tissues or something. It is very sweet and I would give anything to know how to locate a print of it.

I am not talking about selling your art through corporations but about self-promotion, hiring an agent, selling out of your own studio, taking on private commissions, selling at fairs, etc.

Does anyone really want to have 1000 canvasses at home, without a red cent paid to them in terms of profit to cover the costs and provide an income? It is like poetry editors who tell me that 'publication provides its own rewards.'

Of course, I can write poetry anytime for myself and for personal expression or for a cause or charity. I don't want to sell everything. Some would be better for a reading or a journal or charity to a magazine. However, does anyone want to wait tables the rest of his or her life?

My brushes seem to not clean very well, I've been trying to wash them out with water, and soap and water, it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Does anyone know if i clean them with nailpolish remover (acetone) if it will ruin the brush? I am just sick of trying to paint and finding a color i don't want in my painting. (I am new to oils, so I don't know much.)

I am rearching the 19th century artist; both romantic and impressionist. I know Manet bridged the gap between realism and impressionism. But I am curious as to how the Romaniticism movement influenced Manet.
