How do i find info on art work and its value?

I have a frederick remington print on a canvas. How do i find out if it has value.

do you know for sure it is a Frederick Remington? how do you know it isn't an impostor or a cheap knock-off? is it a print or an original painting?

ok, so if you know what it is exactly, then compare it to similar works in a similar time period. go to art.com for prints. eBay isn't always the best example of what items are worth elsewhere. artnet.com will help a little, but you might have to do some calling around to various studios.

you can also take it to an art dealer! that will save some time and effort if there is one near you.
