I just started drawing a few days ago. It's a brand new hobby for me, and I am definitely in the early learning stages. I will need a lot of practice, so I want to know about finding the best and most practical paper and pencils for my sketches. Where paper is concerned, I need to be able to do a lot of revisions without sacrificing the integrity of the texture. Also, what about erasers? I am a completely novice, and have never had an art class in my life.

I've got a pencil drawing, in a big art pad. It was being worked on on the floor, and the dog ran across it and scratched the surface of the sketch and smeared some of the graphite. Is there any way to restore it? I'm looking for a way to erase the graphite scratched into the paper and re-shade...

I naturally have no artistic ability, but I would like to learn to draw basic sketches that look halfway decent. Is there a way I could learn to draw? If so, what resources will help me learn to draw better?

It should travel in one side of the artwork and out the other?

It should be directed toward the center of interest?

As it moves toward the center of interest, it should have several interesting objects to stop and study?

It should land on the point of interest first and then travel toward the secondary areas of interest?
