Can I mix certain paints with wax and heat up a canvas? What about melting down crayons with oil pastels? Should I add a mineral spirits medium and/or acrylic thinner or a resin?

...I need to get regular sewing thread to be stiff enough to hold the shape I give it and support just a little weight (no more than a couple needle's worth of weight, at most). However, I need the thread to look as if nothing is on it or supporting it. What substance would be best to accomplish this?

Does anyone know how I could harden normal plasticine. I could really use that Sculpey thing, but they don't sell any polymer clay where I live, so I was thinking of making my own. Does anyone have any idea how to?

This is for research for my novel. I remember this made news this summer about a college professor who plagarized art. I'm wonder if you can copy the painting like Picasso or O'Keefe did, without missing or changing anything. Is that considered to be plagarism in art or is that legal? Is there another term for it too?

I asked a similar question this morning and I was told that I was not specific enough. I prefer painting women. My inspirations are Steve Hanks, Louis Royo, and Borris Velejo. I am willing to pay for their time, but I am not sure how much to offer and I don't have unlimited funds. Nudity is not a requirement but I am looking for sexy poses. No one wants to see a painting of a woman in sweat suit. I paint oil on canvas. I have a few examples of my previous paintings on my website. I hope this information helps get better answers.
