Claude Monet has a lot of paintings and he is also considered to be the father of impressionism. I was thinking of buying an oil painting from this website that I bought from in the past and I'm having a hard time deciding which painting. Assuming that size and color scheme do not matter, which would you buy? Check out http://www.overstockart.com/monrep.html and let me know what you would recommend for me...

Is it possible for art to be bad, or it simply not to your taste?
What is bad art?

Is some art like the Emperors new clothes? There's nothing there but people haven't the nerve to say it, because there worried about being seen as barbarians?

I am new to painting, and I noticed in the art store that there are 2 oz tubes of acrylic paint ( Globe brand ) that are close to $10 each. What makes these so expensive? Are they better to paint with than cheaper paints ( Liquitex )?
