I am taking a class in the fall and I heard that I have to have a 35mm SLR, they said that I would need to control my F stop? and Shutter spead and be able to focus it manualy. Basically I will need a lot of control over the camer, but at the same time I want it to be able to have an auto setting.

Also, I want to be able to take good lanscape pictures and good black and white photos and I wanna be able to take good pictures of things in the distance. Like mountains and such. So what type of camera do you suggest. Something less then $200 please. =) thanks.

Look at this picture of a waterfall.
http://www-scf.usc.edu/~mpeter/arch%20207b/waterfall.jpg
The water cascades smoothly down it and just appears to be one silky smooth screen.
How does the photographer get that effect? In all of my pictures, the water just bumps roughly over the rocks, not smooth at all as in that picture!

i'm in England,....I am `English`.....at present a painting i have done is near completion. To give you a rough idea its 6x4,has a gold line an inch thick that seperates white and black paint, when a hand is run over the canvas a light at the rear comes on and shows thru the blackness...........it denotes that the white man through his ingenuity and genuis brought light to africa after sunset .............. not god . i've called it "let there be white"......what say you good people????????.

This test only has one question, but it's a very
important one.

By giving an honest answer, you will discover
where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely
fictional situation in which you will have to make a
decision.

Remember that your answer needs to be honest,
yet spontaneous.

Please scroll down slowly and give due
consideration to each line. --------

You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is
chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with
severe flooding.

This is a flood of biblical proportions.

You are a photojournalist working for a major
newspaper,
and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster.
The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying
to shoot career-making photos. There are houses
and people swirling around you, some disappearing
under
the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive
fury.

Suddenly you see a man floundering in the
water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be
taken down with the debris. You move closer . .
somehow
the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it
is.

It's George W. Bush!

At the same time you notice that the raging
waters are about to take him under ... forever.

You have two options--you can save the life of G. W.
Bush or
you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize
winning photo, documenting the death of one of
the world's most powerful men.

So here's the question, and please give an
honest answer:
Would you select high contrast color film, or
would you go with the classic simplicity of black and
white?
