An old man at the bottom of a mountain, starting to climb... a young boy standing, triumphant at the top. (perhaps use faded intermediate iterations on the way up to show the progression from old to young and to make it clear that the old man and the young boy are the same person)
Or, a photo of Lance Armstrong after winning his 1st Tour de France as a recent survivor of testicular cancer that had metastasized to his lungs.
