This was asked already today. Mostly the answers were boring and not interesting. Lets have some juicy stuff this time round. Surely there must be shop lifters, benefit cheats, liars etc on here right now. Oh yeah I have a credit card (still within limit) and an huge overdraft my husband doesn't know about.

Can we truly live in a utopian world where everyone does get along and eveyone is happy and crime and pain does not exist? Or do we need evil in the world to help us grow as people so we know what good truly is? Or is heaven the utopian world and right now we are living in hell to help us to understand what heaven really is about?

sometimes it so happens that i begin to find this materialistic life as the most senseless thing and makes me wonder why are we running around for these superficial things when all these things give u superficial joy.. and then i begin to find everything from listening to music to getting engrossed in scientific things(which interest me otherwise) as boring and meaningless. i begin to look around for deep inner peace.. but i don't know what to do.. i'm an 18 years old engineering student and i want to make the most of my life by creating a difference in the lives of others.. what should i do??

War often brings into question how much a single life is worth. Who do you kill. Who you let live. What is more important, an American life, or the lives of one of our ememies? They are still people. Who do we think we are always more important? Why have we forgoten that they are human beings too? Why can we kill without blinking an eye. We leave thousands of military and civilains alike to die, but when one of our soldiers is killed we believe the enemy is evil and inhumain and cruel, and must be stoped, Even though the former exponentialy outnumbers the later? What judges the value of a life?

I used to study philosophy at university ans enjoyed it as a mental challenge to take what resonated with my own reason and form my attitude to life. even in its tree falling hear it stage it pondered questions that raised my deductive reasoning. Talking to contemporary philosophy students the emphaisis is on semantics, public speaking and belittling others rather than empowering oneself (i,e, status anxiety, affluenza as texts). Why not study law!

If anyone does so totally believe in God, there should be absolutely no cause for such a believer to ever feel afraid, sorry, angry, disappointed or unhappy..... I haven't come across anyone like that! Does it mean that there can be no true believer?
