I ask this same question once in a meditation. The answer came clear as a bell.

It said I have placed you here to learn the true meaning of Love. What ever it was that was answering then told me something that really set me back. It said that I felt the way I did about certain people because I did not understand the true meaning of love. I protested and said that I did my best to love all of the people who were deserving of love.

It replied "yes that is your misunderstanding. You see love as something that you dole out in tiny little portions here and there to people who you have judged to be worthy of it. This is not love at all, it is only judgment". This stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly realized that what it was saying to me was true. This realization brought me to tears. It went
on and told me, "You treat love as though there is some shortage of it. It is not something that you can run out of. The more love that you give, the more love that there is in the world. Its that simple. The only way that there can be a shortage of it is if you hoard it and keep it to yourself."

It went on to explain, that "this is what Jesus was trying to tell you when he asked you to turn the other cheek, to judge not and to love your neighbor. He made no exceptions in these things that he requested of you. Why are you making exceptions, and judging some as worthy of love and others as not? Jesus fully intended for you to apply this love that you are to all, in a universal manner without any judgment of any sort". By this time the tears Were flowing freely. I was crying because for the first time in my life I Understood what the message Jesus left for us in the bible actually meant.

This has become my truth. I can't say what yours is for sure, but I have a feeling that it is probably similar.

To write music and poems, maybe some prose. To learn how to understand and love people, to understand myself and overcome my ego. To ever try to be better than I am at the present moment.

It's not that I think I'm some genius in music or writing (although some people do think so!). It's just that I do that best - that's what I feel and know the most. I could never be happy doing something else, so I guess that my purpose should be doing what makes me feel good...

I think that my purpose in life is to be the best mother to my child that I can possibly be..I did not know a life till I had my child, my now I am totally convinced that I was put here on this earth to take care and love him. There is no other purpose in life for me, because nothing else matters except for the love of my family...:) Thanks and god bless!!!!

Well, so far, it seems as tho my purpose is 'giving of myself to others'. Helping those less fortunate than myself. Lend and ear, lend a shoulder, lend a car ride to the store, lend some time reading to someone, writing letters for them etc etc....right now my purpose is helping my own daughter out. What God has planned for me in the future? I'll have to wait and see if I stay on this path or travel elsewhere.

The purpose of life is to discover this unique YOU that is hiding behind all these social distractors: medias, bad food ...
Getting to know ones self is not an easy task,it requires a whole lifetime of endeavor, and that is the pupose of life.

I don't have a purpose in life because there is no ulterior purpose in life.

We are all sentient beings with (mostly) enough intelligence to create our own pathways through life.

I'm here simply because my mum and dad created me.

Now, if you're asking what my own goals in life are, then that's something entirely different.

To cross a path and perhaps influence another I am to meet. To leave behind a small legacy where my offspring will do the same.
To do good where it is needed. To change something that affects another or to guide someone what I can see clearly, but they are blind to it. Choices and changes.

To do my best to make the part of the world I have influence and the ability to change better than I found it. Moreover, to be positive and resist negativity.
