If God sent Jesus here for a particular reason, or if jesus is the mortal incarnation of god or however christians want to look at it, than why did jesus study man-made religions such as judaism, kabalah and others. Why was he ona search for knawledge if he is God?

There is no particle in the universe that can travel greater than the speed of light. Light exist but doesn't exist in time. We wiser away in time but light remain the same.?

In the bible god mentions that time has no meaning for him. I find this very intriguing maybe god is simply light is that plausible.

Revenge can make you feel better,

but then your leaving yourself open to the other person deciding to take revenge on you , then you take revenge back and it goes around and around until you have no decendents left to take revenge on your death.

When does it stop!?!

(Ps i only want to hear from people that believe revenge works)

I'm writing a paper, and I know there's some school of thought that says everything can be explained by man's powers of reasoning, if all the surrounding events are known, or something to that effect. Basically, that the so-called "Butterfly Effect" is real - that a hurricane occurs, ultimately, because a butterfly flapped its wings somewhere, and not because God/gods willed it or made it so. (Yes, I know that's a scientific simplification!) Can anyone help me with what school of thought this is, and who some of its major thinkers are? Thanks!

..i think that all of gods and godeses are false..first arg. that i will say to split most of your thoughts is that there are i don`t know 1-10 whatever religions..and they are different kinda so even there is one..he can`t be 1-7 in the same time..so this for example leaves it to God religion..there are too many impressions and doubts in my life that lead to not bielieve that..like say a pray..wtf is that? I bielieve more in the actual power of the HUMAN,not becouse he pray`d or something,i didn`t passed the math test becouse i prayed,i passed it ONLY BECOUSE i learned(or cop,you could say this is a litlle issue..on bigger things it`s just more complex but it`s the same. on earth everything is based on human action,on our actions, what someone really incredibile calls it like...this is god`s hand,or i pray`d for it for years bla wahteve,it`s just something that we can`t understand or ain`t inteligent enough..anyway there would be more to talk about. sorry for my grammar im16pm me

I enjoy Russian literature and history and have come accross numerous allusions to nihilist philosophy. Did nihilism ever pose a real threat to social / intellectual society in Russia (or anywhere else), and why was it looked on so negatively?

Is there a significant nihilst population today?

yesterday i was watching planet earth (started at 22:00 on bbc4 if anyone else watched it) and theres this type of bug (cant remember what its called) but anyway, every 17 years, millions and millions of them come out from under the ground and fly around this forest. theyre kinda dumb and loads of them die and get eaten. if theyre lucky they mate, then after 36 hours they die, only for their babies to reappear another 17 years later! DOESNT THIS MAKE LIFE SEEM SO POINTLESS?!!! they just live for one and a half days then die. must suck to be one of those flies!

I recently started researching young earth creationism (as in Genesis) and came across Francis Collins book, __The_Language_of_God, where he lays out an outstanding case for Theistic Evolution. This coupled with similar views of one of my all time favorite authors, C. S. Lewis, has left me on the fence for this issue. Leave some suggested readings with your answers. Thanks!

I’ve been feeling this empty void in my life. I feel there’s something else is missing. I’ve tried going to church, getting a great job, dating, great relationships and volunteering. I wonder why I still feeling this way?
