I’ve been feeling this empty void in my life. I feel there’s something else is missing. I’ve tried going to church, getting a great job, dating, great relationships and volunteering. I wonder why I still feeling this way?

We are what we think.

Reflect on yourself. Deeply. I would suggest taking up a simple practice of meditation for a few minutes a day. Read up online for a simple technique, or post again if you need instructions.

We forget that we are our own guardians of happiness, and it is how we decide to interpret our world that defines how we experience it. We forget that when someone makes us upset, it is not actually them who made us upset, it is ourselves as we decide to be upset because of what they did. If you instead can shift yourself to react more compassionately to poor situations, reflecting on the positive aspects of all events in your life, you will find more to be happy about.

I believe that there is a divine purpose for our being here on this planet and until we find it and fulfill our mission the emptiness that you're describing is going to be with us forever. I have the same uneasiness around me.

you have to go throught your void, stop dancing around it. by doing all of the above, feel it . that's the only way it's goingt to leave you, I mean if you run happiness or anything else it's just going to run from you, Stand still, and it will approach you. God Bless.

See what your basic needs are.
Writing out what you want out of life,
then start a daily journal to make sure you are doing what you want to to make you happy.
Also write down how the things you are doing now make you feel.
Explore the field. There is more to life than doing what you know.

You have to do what truly makes you happy. Maybe its a hobby you enjoy like painting, or dancing. Soon everything else will fall in place.

I think that until you discover who you are, and are able to be content with yourself, everything else is just filler.
