..i think that all of gods and godeses are false..first arg. that i will say to split most of your thoughts is that there are i don`t know 1-10 whatever religions..and they are different kinda so even there is one..he can`t be 1-7 in the same time..so this for example leaves it to God religion..there are too many impressions and doubts in my life that lead to not bielieve that..like say a pray..wtf is that? I bielieve more in the actual power of the HUMAN,not becouse he pray`d or something,i didn`t passed the math test becouse i prayed,i passed it ONLY BECOUSE i learned(or cop,you could say this is a litlle issue..on bigger things it`s just more complex but it`s the same. on earth everything is based on human action,on our actions, what someone really incredibile calls it like...this is god`s hand,or i pray`d for it for years bla wahteve,it`s just something that we can`t understand or ain`t inteligent enough..anyway there would be more to talk about. sorry for my grammar im16pm me

god(or another god) can exist,or cannot.
i`m saying that we have control upon us.
faith is just another thing that people stick to,just to bielieve in something that is just more powerfull than self will(this is only in they're minds)
and wendy COME FU**ing ON
praying to get a good grade has nothing to do with getting it,helping concentrating on it?i can concentrate better on listening to music, drink or whatever,so does many of us..this hole faith this is just something that you bielieve in and stick to it for the harder days to keep ur moral up or not falling brutal..i didn`t explained verry well..sorry for my grammar again..

use spell check .as you have not been exposed to my realty that there is a god and he sent his son to die for me and if i believe that he well send his spirit to guide me and when i die i well live with him in glory then i must expect you to reason many things in this life with human understanding and that is good

Faith is believing without having to see or be shown. It comes within. It is tantemount with the ideal that man is inheritantly good. Knowing what is the "right thing to do" in any given time requires great mental acuity and understanding. Humans are not all knowing and all seeing. Religion is believing in a supremacy/spirit within that directs our lives and choices by the teachings of the religious sect we embrace.
I personally feel that if you do not explore your inner self and the POSSIBILITY that you have faith somewhere deep down inside of you, you are closing your mind to an aspect of life that you will never experience. Denying your mind, body and soul the experience is denying yourself to live fully. You have abilities/gifts that is every human's duty and responsibility to make wise choices and use those gifts to their maximum potential. If not, you have wasted the gift of life you have been blessed with. Wasting your life denies others of the beauty, and interaction with the uniqueness of you. No one should be afraid to share themselves with others. We are all here for a purpose. If nothing else man should strive to leave the earth having tried to make it a better world for the next generation. We do not own the earth, seas and skies. We do not "own" our lives. If we did, we could control when, where and how we are to die.
We do not live forever, everything ends. It is what we believe we will find when our lives ends that helps us appreciate what we have today.
You are correct when you say that praying to do good on a math test and studying for it has nothing to do with each other. HOWEVER, common sense and basic intelligence also tells us that you will surely flunk if you never opened the book. Therefore, opening the book to study says that you have faith in yourself that you can understand and accomplish the task at hand, if you put your mind to it. When we are insecure about our abilities, our spiritual side can help reassure, relax and cope with the pressures of our daily lives. Meditation (which is not prayer) takes you to another level of consciousness. It is easily taught and explores more spiritual healing, enlightenment, etc... which helps people cope and understand.
You do not have to join a religion to be a better person but having guiding principles and direction in life makes the universe more comprehensible. It gives you a clearer path in your journey through life.
I hope you find yourself and have a better understanding not a bitter understanding of how religion/faith can lead you to becoming the best person you can imagine, and more....
I wish you inner peace in your search.

I agree with u.
There r hundreds of religions with different ideologies. It's impossible 2 combine/summarise them in2 one.
I don't bliv that God helps us in remembering things or in some other ways. I've been n atheist 4 several years. But that didn't make ne difference.
Prayer has some benefits, like meditation. Bsides, prayer or meditation can give a supernaturalistic idea. But these don't prove ne thing. U can have the benefits, and experience even if u r a non believer.
I think I should stop here. the topic is very old, yet prominant needs 2 b discussed.
Remember, a single thing can b seen differently. The difference is the way u look 8 it. S we grow older we should learn 2 build our own eyes 2 c.

prayer is a tool, used to focus a persons intent and will, upon a given situation, however many people dont really understand what is happening when they pray. They are leaving the situation in the hands of their percived God. But if you pray with Intent and will, and realize that You are manipulating the situation with will and intent, you are more likely to have the effect you desire.

even though there are lots of churches, there is one God over all of them. humans just interpret the Bible differently and have differences in how they follow His teachings. yes you passed the test in school because you studied and learned the material, but praying to God can help you remember what you studied. I know and have taught people that could study one subject from now til they die and they'd never remember because God didn't make them that way. (not mentally handicapped, just they can't) God wants you to believe because He said so, faith is believing without seeing. but if you believe you WILL see.

even in the bible it says there are 7 true church's. and in the beginning it tells you about God in the very first line of genesis, so take a look what does it say, and can you not see it everyday?
does not the sun shine, does not aspark of energy light your way.. tthink about it a little deeper and then come back and see if you ask the same question...

You are very welcome to your views and your opinions.
I struggle to understand the concept of religion myself, but I can understand the benefits of a belief system. I was brought up as a Christian, but I would imagine the best way to describe me is "lapsed".
Rational religious believers will accept that there is no way of "proving" that their god/s exist - but this does not shake their conviction one jot.
I have no axe to grind either way, as I firmly believe that each person should be free to make up their own mind.
What I cannot tolerate is violence and persecution in the name of religion.

i disagree.
Have some faith. i may not be able to prove He exists, but think about it, do u really think our lives are meaningless. that we are here only because of coincidences. u can't feel it in your bones that we are here for deeper reasons than we can possibly imagine.
