Are you referring to bio-human engineering? In this case, there will be less birth defects, more blond-hair blue-eyed people, and probably a lot of weird effects that we won't know about for a long time. There will also be a new Romanticism, I think, of genetically altered people who wish they were not genetically altered.

Not quite sure what you mean by self-tweaked. If you are referring to existentialist and self-created, then I think I know.

Alone, vulnerable, and free. Like jumping off a bridge with a bungee cord you made yourself. The cord could be fine, but you'd better figure out a way to get back on the bridge!

I've just self-tweaked myself and it bloody well hurts.
