I've read extensively about the subject, and during the Middle Ages, Jews were well accepted in Islamic nations, becoming advisors and physicians to Caliphs and high kings all the while being persecuted by Christians, kicked out of Spain and England. Christians and Muslims were not that friendly either, what with the crusades.

But now the alliance has changed. Christians and Jews are buddies, whilst Islam is the odd man out, so to speak. Why the change? When did this happen? Does this have to do with Zionism and the Christian belief that Jews reclaiming the Holy Land is part of End Time prophecy as revealed in the Book of Revelations?

Thoughts?

What was her name and the name of the book she wrote...the last line that went something like "Despite it all, I still believe there's some good left in the world."?

How did that line go?

First Shot: Hits Kennedy in the throat (The Grassy Knoll)
Second Shot: Hits Kennedy in the back (Dal-Tex Building)
Third Shot: Hits Governor Connally (Book Depository)
Fourth Shot: Misses the limousine (Dal-Tex Building)
Fifth Shot: Hits Kennedy in the head (The Grassy Knoll)

My theory: A triangular crossfire. 2 shooters behind, and 1 in the front. All of the them firing from the right side.

4 hits, 1 miss. It was a well organized hit. A classic military styled ambush.

Am I the only one offended?

A horrible incident in Somalia where a Black Hawk helicopter was shot down. Our soldiers fought and died, trying to survive this urban warfare nightmare while their friends suffered.

Then some wierdo goes and makes a video game out of an actual historic event of our country's soldiers dieing.

Is anyone else offended by this?

I am often shocked at the attitudes of many who use Hollywood for their exposure to history.

Hollywood's goal is to entertain and make money; Not educate.

Some of the questions, here, certainly reflect that, and by one side of the coin, it chaps me, but on the other side of the coin, at least they are questioning the information/misinformation rationally.

How do you feel about these people who take historical fiction and without questioning it, accept it as fact?

In the very beginning of the movie "300" we see that Spartans kill messengers from Persia. But somebody told me that killing messengers at that time was equal to losing your honor and that Spartans would've never done that. Does anybody have any knowledge regarding this?

Were those Japanese that exploded themselves by bombs (in committing suicide honorably) realistic as I wonder weren't bombs suppose to devastate those around them?

I find little or no bayonet to bayonet fighting esp. when the Japanese ran out of ammunitions at the last days.

I know that Spears, halberds, glaives, etc... are polearms, but I was wondering if a War Hammer with a shaft long enough to be used with 2 hands would fall under that contergory.

Also, were two handed hammers more used in melee combat, or against mounted soldiers?
