They both have food laws and dont allow depictions of human forms in worship
Mere men, Moses / Mohammed are their leaders and have handed down their teachings . Both have a straight path of clear cut duties and commands

And they both reject the need for a redeemer .They believe that salvation depends upon your actions and attitudes and not on what G-d is doing /done

Jesus the Annointed One is just a man who was a fake and his apostles were all liars .

It's not discussed in history books in enough detail but was a huge turning point in the development of North America. Are there any historians out there who are well versed on the topic? I'm a complete novice. Thanks.

One of my answerer's said that ancient historians were 70% accurate. "Close but no cigar". Is Jesus in the 70% or the 30%? The historians that are cited werew without exception hired by the emperor of rome to give credance to Rome as the ultimate world power. Rome fell as a political power but saved their own *** by reemerging as a religious power, over the kings of the earth. Damned clever those popes. Never understimate the greed of a pope.
There is only one Christian in the world today. It is me. But I totally reject the divinity of Jesus who was a "plug in" to the Christ political position by nepotism of the Roman emperor Augustus Octavian Caesar. Let's play hard ball.

Why do you think the Romans developed the idea of eating and socialising from an adopted horizontally reclined position as opposed to sitting? Was this a preference of the elite classes signifying opulence and wealth? Was it a prelude to orgiastic entertainment?

The assorted combine of religious, political and historical authorities of ancient times were lying most of the time just like they are now.
People read the ancient texts just like they think they are accurate. How sad and unrewarding. Little ladies run around quoting scripture, citing sites and voting politics just like they think they know what they are doing. Very pathetic.
The only way to begin to undersatnd the past is to look closely at the present. The present is a reflection of the past. Most people do not know how to really focus on an iota. They imagine more than they really see.
Art is a substance on a surface or a variation thereof. Anything you see beyond that is your imagination.

Couldn't Jefferson predict the inevitability of US expansion to include the Louisiana territory? Perhaps he wanted to avoid war with France. Still, why not just annex it and claim it for the US? Seems to me that Jefferson just wasted a lot of money giving it to Napoleon when he could have just taken the land.
