I have an Official Queen Mary Medal...on the front it has a ship and says below ship Queen Mary "THE STATELIEST SHIP IN BEING" on the back at the top it says Maiden Voyage May27,1936 .. Arrived Long beach December 9,1967 ... 1001 Roundtrip on te Alantic..
bottom it says .. War March 1940 Service September 1946 .... Transported 810,730 Military Personel .... anyone know anything about this , or know where i can find out..... does anyone know how much its worth?

History Topic about the 1500's?

I was wondering about what topic could be good for my History assignment.

I am supposse to get a topic related to the 1500's or prior and then get specific dates. Some kind of time-line sort of thing and then an essay about it.

The problem is that I can't think of a decent topic and ideas ?

Anyone know the name of the greek analog computer taht was found under the sea somewhere?

someone that knows their history......a question about Colombus and America?

How did Colombus discover America.....if there were already people here when he arrived? Wouldn't that just mean that he was able to go back to Spain and say someone already lives in America.

Also, in elementary school we talked how he arrived to one of the 13 colonies (Mass. I think) with the Nina, Pinta, and Santa María........but in all of my Spanish classes they say he arrived to the carribean.

Lastly, why is a guy who's with all his conquistadores like a hero.....when in reality he killed off many native people?

Has someone ever told u to do something u didn't want to do? explain what happened.?

When I was little my so called friend deared me to ride my bike down the hill blinde folded. So I did. It was scary, but when I got all the way down I my face slamed into this rock wall. My tooth fell out, and I got an scar on my chin. I gotta say that was the most dangerous thing I done. But I survived it, thank God. Thank God I wasn't truly injured.

why didn't the German's fix Eiffel Tower when they occupied Paris 1940/44 when the cables cut?

In the German occupation of Paris 1940/44 why did the German's not repair the cables on the Eiffel Tower with the level of intelligence of their engineer's and their men enjoying the city whilst posted there, it was easily repaired by the French after the German occupation?

ALL WARS ON EARTH? and their victims in last 1200 years?

I'm doing a personal research on all the wars on earth (from 800AD until 2007). All the wars, from Djingis khan .... until last 100 years including S/N Korean, Russian revolutions, Balkans, World Wars, Civilian wars, African wars...etc.

Does someone know where online can I find those informations, and it would be great if there are approximate victims of those wars.
