"The Declaration of Independence may carry little weight in the courts; it may for all its being placed at the head of the Statutes at Large and described in the United States Code as part of the "organic law," have no legally binding.

The article is from Dennis J. Mahoney and it's just titled Declaration of Independence.

Also, what does this mean?
James Madison said it's "the fundamental Act of Union of these states."

In Generals Die in Bed, Charles Yale Harrison claims that, in Ypres, in 1915, one canadian officer was crucified to a barn door with a [German] "bayonet through each hand and one through his feet".
Is the story true?
If so, who was it, by whom and for what reason?
Have that kind of things actually been reported or were they fabrications of the press/ propaganda.
Thanks.

i own a rifle scope and have no idea where it is from can anyone help. It is roughly 18 inches long and about 1/2 inch in diametre. It is solid brass. It is slightly telecopic consisting of two brass tubes that slide into each other about three inch. It is completeely cylindrical and does not "open out" at either end. One set of lens have cross hairs within them. There are no marking on it apart from a military arrow. It is extremely robust and doesn't seem to be missing any thing. It is also extremely well made and obviously once a precision instrument.I get the feeling that it is some kind of early military or sporting scope. I am based in northern england and have no history with other contries so i assume it is english. Please help?

The Ethopian people claim that Queen Sheeba had a son with King Solmon. The son carted away the ark to ethopia. The old testment mentions the Ark 100 of times before Solomon but hardly mentions it after Solomon. (ie as it no longer existed in Juresulem)
