I understand the question to mean what was the geographical area over which Augustus Caesar reigned?

At this time it was close to but not quite at its peak. For the previous centuries Republican Rome had been expanding at the expense of its neighbours. First of all the neighbouring kingdoms in Italy and then furthur afield. Despite being given a nasty scare by Hannibal, the Roman eventually overcame and destroyed the Cathagian Empire with had its capital near modern-day Tunis. This won them large tracts of North Africa which at that time was good wheat-growing country. Next they expanded eastward, conquering the descendents of Alexander The Great (these people were known as the Hellenistic Greeks). So the Balkans, Greece, Turkey and and Levant became part of Rome. Julius Caesar was famous for his victories in France and his rival Pompey conquered the Iberian Peninsula. During the civil war which led Octavian (Augustus) to power as Emporor, Egypt was added to the empire.

This was the Empire nearly at its height. Britain was yet to be conquered (although it had been invaded previously). Dacia had not yet fallen and Rome's march to the east was to be eventually halted by the Parthian Empire based in modern-day Iran. There is some latin graffitti in Baku which is taken as archaeological evidence that is is as far east as the Roman legions made it.

Augustus himself was also famous for "finding Rome a city of brick, and leaving it a city of marble."

Caesar Augustus was the first emperor of the Roman Empire from 27 BC - AD 14, for forty-one years. (There is no year 0.)

The Roman Senate fell with Julius Caesar.... Augustus was the first Roman Emperor.... So he reigned over the Roman Empire......hmmmmm.... kind of redundant, ain't it?
