The Ethopian people claim that Queen Sheeba had a son with King Solmon. The son carted away the ark to ethopia. The old testment mentions the Ark 100 of times before Solomon but hardly mentions it after Solomon. (ie as it no longer existed in Juresulem)

It is claimed by the Coptic church that they have possessed the Ark for over 2000 years, but there is no way to confirm or deny it. Besides they claim only one preist is ever permitted in it's presence, and he goes blind as soon as he has seen it.
