I know I have at least 4 great-great grandparents that were full blood Native American all from different sides of the family. They all married white people so 2 of my great-grandma's were 1/2 Indian and there were 2 great-great grandpa's that were full Indian as well. All from the Oklahoma area and I know one of the grandma's were Cherokee.

What is a good website to get onto if I want to track the several generations of my family? Can I track ancestors' brothers and sisters too?

And what is the best software for doing genealogy?

I ask because I got blessed with the task of organizing and preserving thousands of old photographs; and want to make ancestry charts available to as many family members as I can.

There is a man who did research on one branch of my family tree, and managed to get the family geneology back to the 10th century. The only problem is that he lives in Munich, Germany and I have never met him. He managed to break through the 17th century barrior I never managed to get through. Doyou think it would it be okay to try and get that information from him, I can speak German so it wouldn't be much of language problem, what would do?

My partner was adopted but wants to meet his birth family, so that he can find out the medical history (and if things go well to possibly get to know them). He has the phone number of his mum's mother, but he is really nervous of being turned away and has put it off for years. Does anyone have any suggestions based on personal experience (or not based on personal experience) on how we can approach this situation in the best way?

I'm supposed to do a genealogy project for my English class.I have my whole Dad's side of the family done since no one one his side divorced.My mom's side is totally different.Her parents divorced when her and her little sister were very young,but both parents got remarried,so I know who my biological grandfather is on her side.But here's the problem:I don't know who my biological great-grandfather is.My great-grandmother refuses to tell who my grandma's real father is.I take that back-she refuses to tell ANYBODY who he is.I need help.I'm not gonna stop this search until...idk.Whenever I guess.I need help.Email me back @ firemansdaughter@yahoo.com if you have any info.My great-grandmother's name is Yvonne or Barbara Fraiser.

I have been looking for my biological father. I know his first, middle, and last name, his birth state, what college he went to and the year he graduated, as well as his fraternity. I have had people who attend the college ask teachers of his wherabouts, and have asked people in his fraternity as well...however nobody has information on him.
